BaseCycler™ Real-Time PCR Instrument
The BaseCycler™ Real-Time PCR Instrument provides precision and speed in a convenient format. The use of high performance Peltier elements combined with solid silver blocks produce World-leading thermal uniformity for sensitive quantitative PCR and optimal High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis.
Precision and performance
Suitable for addressing biological phenomena with subtle effects on gene expression or pathogen levels including discrimination of 10% differences in transcript concentrations. The system can discriminate all SNP classes, including Class 4 STR, via HRM.
Validated for use with PentaBase IVD assays
The BaseCycler™ Real-Time PCR Instrument is validated for use with PentBase’s PlentiPlex™ and SensiScreen® IVD assays as well as our novel MicroSight® MSI HRM IVD assay.
Multiplex with full spectrum optics
Full spectrum optics (120 channels) combined with advanced matrix deconvolution technology enable simultaneous analysis of at least 7 different targets in a single reaction, each monitored with a different colour of fluorescent label.
The BaseCycler™ system comes with easy-to-use software and robust high performance algorithms provide accurate results from complex data. The software package includes pre-defined analysis settings and semi-automatic analysis output for MicroSight™ MSI assays.
With heating rates of 5°C per second and cooling rates of 4°C per second the BaseCycler™ is one of the fastest systems available. The system demonstrates excellent quantitative precision and speed, with 45 cycles of PCR in 33 minutes.
