PentaBase's own patents
At present one “composition of matter” patent application on EasyBeacons™ and Hydrolysis probes have been submitted in 2006 in Denmark, upgraded to a PCT application in 2007 and currently being treated in the national phase in the following countries: Australia, Canada, China, India, Japan, Hong Kong, USA and Europe. Trademarks on "HydrolEasy™" and "PentaBase™" among others have been applied for.

License to INA
Eventhough the founder of PentaBase is the inventor of the INA technology, the rights to INA was sold to Human Genetic Signatures in 2004. However a commercial license for research use only of INA® has been granted by Human Genetic signatures Pty Ltd., to PentaBase.

License to Biosearch Technologies Black Hole Quenchers®
PentaBase has made an agreement with Biosearch Technologies, Inc. allowing PentaBase to incorporate Black Hole quenchers, BHQs, into our proprietary probes for research use only. "We are happy to be able to use the Black Hole quenchers in our EasyBeacons™ and HydrolEasy™ probes. BHQs are widely known to researchers and are regarded as quality quenchers. Biosearch Technologies, Inc. is a privately held biotechnology company located just south of the Napa and Sonoma wine country in Northern California.

Black Hole Quencher® is a registered trademark of Biosearch Technologies, Inc.
